Joshua has been married to his wife Joanna for 25 years. He is blessed to be the father of Charis, Gabriel, Joshua Benjamin, Micah, and Stephen. 

 

The Flemings served two terms overseas as the IT Director of a Spanish mission in the Middle East and North Africa. Additionally, they consulted Christian organizations working in the region, taught Bible, IT, and Political Science classes, helped with efforts to rescue victims of human trafficking, assisted with church planting efforts, and co-founded and co-directed Light for Yemen. Joanna served on the board of Wellspring and ran their center focused on helping human trafficking victims. 

 

At the end of 2018 the Flemings were called back to Hope Church in Columbia, SC, where Joshua serves in his current position as Outreach Pastor, overseeing both local outreach and overseas missions. In addition to serving at Hope, he co-directs a mission focused on training Nepali Church leaders and is involved in several local ministries like SOAR and a refugee outreach program.
